“Our Dance” Residency

with & for the Iconic House of Saint Laurent

by PSR Collective at Heizhaus Uferstudios

In July we completed the first of 3 Blocks as part of the Residency “Our Dance” by PSR Collective at Heizhaus Uferstudios. In this Residency the focus was on growth within the House as a collective and to connect the dots between Ballroom Culture as performance art and Ballroom as a culture and tool of empowerment / education.

One of the focal points was starting to archive and reflect on the growth of the German Ballrom Scene in the past 8 years, as a means to create from it and work towards a publication.

Our motivation is to create this publication majorly for our community, in order to share information and contribute to understanding the local history, how the German scene relates to its US roots, the differences in their respective contexts and identifying future space for growth.
